2018 Convention

Circus Fans of Australasia Inc. invites you to our 2018 Convention on the Central Coast between Sydney and Newcastle from 18-21 May.

The convention will be held at Camp Breakaway, 80 Highview Avenue, San Remo, NSW.

Registration Fees:

  • $120 per adult
  • $60 per child – under 15 years of age.

This venue has excellent facilities, meeting rooms and accommodation and is available for our use from 2 pm Friday til 2 pm Monday. Unless we get a significant increase in members attending, most members will be able to stay on site, and there will be no need to travel anywhere as all the events will be held at the one site. If you have a look at the Camp Breakaway website, they have a virtual tour of all the center, and you will be able to see all the amenities.

ALL CATERING: Catering will be provided for the whole weekend and is included in the registration fees. Breakaway will be providing a two-course dinner with tea and coffee on Saturday and Sunday night in their large meeting room. We will be self-catering for Friday night and the lunches, and there will be a self-serve continental breakfast available in the kitchen adjoining our meeting room. Tea, coffee etc. will be there all weekend. Bottles of water and fresh juices will be available at a small cost and you can bring your own drinks and alcohol. There is a Coles shopping centre and bottle shop just three minutes away if you need anything.

PROGRAMME: The programme will be similar to past conventions with registrations from 2pm Friday and a welcome on Friday night. There will be plenty of room and tables to display items for buy, swap and sell under cover. Saturday morning will be the opening of the business session with reports and elections of new committee members and general business. Sunday morning will be the very popular auction of donated items. During the afternoons and evenings we will have several artists and guest speakers entertaining us and plenty of time to chat with old and new friends in beautiful surroundings.

ACCOMMODATION: There are 16 rooms with en-suites and three single beds in each. Only two have a double bed and a single. These rooms are $130 per night and there are also eight A-frame cabins with six bunks next to the amenities block. These are also $130 per night. There are six powered caravan sites and room for about six more in the car park area. These are $25 per night. Accommodation bookings are to be made direct with Camp Breakaway by calling Lynne Leys on (02) 4390 7624. You MUST make your own accommodation bookings.

AUCTION: If you have any items you would like to contribute, but are unable to come to the convention, please contact Tom on (02) 4393 2681 so arrangements can be made. The income from the auction and raffle help in keeping our running costs down.
